Originally designed for industrial applications rather than live concerts, the MI-200’s are exceedingly scarce and desirable among collectors. Versions of the MI-200 were produced from 1953 to 1966. This model, likely ca. 1960s, was used live by the Grateful Dead—a rare and innovative application of industrial technology to live performance.
