Small oblong, slight stain. From a letter, three words in his hand. -- ADAMS, J. DS ("John Adams") as President, countersigned T.Pickering, Philadelphia, 22 April 1800. Oblong, ON PARCHMENT, papered seal, fine. Granting 4000 acres to Dudley Woodbridge from "the Tract appropriated for satisfying Warrants for Military services." (In Ohio, as docketed). -- JEFFERSON, T. DS ("Th:Jefferson") as President, countersigned by J. Madison as Sec. of State, issued at New York, 13 July 1803. 1 page, oblong folio, papered seals, severe fold separations. Four-language ship's papers for the Mary , bound for Saint Thomas with "Butter, Lard, Candles..." -- MADISON, J. Autograph note signed (in third person, "J.M.") to J. Q.
