Each item tipped to a large sheet within ruled border, bound with inlaid engraved portraits of each President, calligraphic titlepage. Folio, 365 x 285 mm., elaborate red levant morocco gilt, upper cover gilt-lettered: "Autographs of the Presidents of the United States...1789-1931," with gilt eagle emblem, inside cover with inlaid blue morocco doublure and silk American flag free end paper, top edge gilt, others uncut, by Macdonald, protective case . Washington signs verso of a treasurer's receipt for funds of the Potomac Company, also signed by John Fitzgerald and George Gilpin. -- ADAMS, John.
