A partially completed visitors' book, circa 1910-45, containing 57 signatures on six pages at front of book, autographs include Ellen Terry (29 April 1920), Queen Marie and Princess Ileana of Romania, Ronald Storrs, Charlie Chaplin (8 November 1931), King Farouk (2 June 1937) and Laurel and Hardy (on verso of same page as Chaplin and King Farouk), remaining leaves blank, a further dozen items loosely inserted including a white slip signed by Henry Irving and Ellen Terry dated 1891, autograph letters signed from Angela Brazil (8 December 1925), Marie Corelli (2) and Ronald Storrs, each addressed to Mr Wellstood, top edge gilt, remainder uncut, contemporary red straight-grain morocco, rubbed and slightly soiled, 4to The untitled visitors' book would appear to have belonged to F.C. Wellstood, manager of the Shakespeare Museum, Stratford-upon-Avon. (1)
