Harper Jun. for the Editor, 1807, half-title, engraved frontispiece and dedication, dust-soiling and spotting throughout, marbled endpapers with front free endpaper replaced, all edges gilt, contemporary maroon straight grain morocco possibly by John Lovejoy (1749-1818), elaborate gilt decoration including masonic motifs, upper board with "Lodge No. 202. Ancient York Masons, Gibralter" in gilt, 8vo The decorative motifs on this binding appear to include examples used on bindings by the bookbinder John Lovejoy.
