Modern russet morocco blindstamped with single fillets, t.e.g. Second edition in Italian, printed for the publisher Pacini, "the most energetic and careful of Florentine publishers" (Kristeller Early Florentine Woodcuts , xviii). Almost all of Pacini's books were issued with illustrations by highly skilled artists, and the present edition is no exception. The title cut showing Bernard presenting his book to a group of nuns, for whom the sermons were written, first appeared here.
