(85.3 cm. diam.) in a 19th century Italian giltwood frame Provenance (Possibly) Cardinal Gabriele Ferretti (1795-1860), Rome (according to a label on the reverse). with Galerie d’Atri, Paris, by 1937. with Georges Maratier, Paris, by June 1945, as 'Piero di Cosimo'. Private collection, Paris and by descent in the family to the present owners.
