[Ulm: Johann Zainer, 1473]. Chancery 2° (270x172mm). Collation: [1 8 ] (1 blank, 2r De periculis , 5r De regimine Iudaeorum , 8v blank). 7 (of 8, without first blank) leaves. 32-33 lines. Type: 1 a :116G. 3-line initial spaces. (Rehinged, final leaf mounted, marginal wormholes repaired, others affecting a few letters.) Modern vellum over pastepaper boards. ONE OF THE EARLIEST BOOKS PRINTED IN ULM by the first printer there, Johann Zainer. This is the first of four editions of this pair of texts printed by Zainer, possibly for the Ulm Dominicans, and either this edition or its reprint was among the books advertised by Zainer in his printed broadside of early 1474. The attribution of the first text to Thomas Aquinas is a late one; it is in fact the last section of Bernardus de Parentinis's Expositio missae officii (see CIBN T-207). H *1375; BMC II, 520 (IB. 9107); Goff T-316; Polain(B) 3715; IGI 9543; Amelung, Frühdruck I, 16
