Very fine to excellent condition; postcard has vertical fold down center. Four Crumb family holiday cards, one hand-colored, including a postcard written by Crumb to his friend Tom Bertinos, with excellent content including Crumb grousing about his impending move to France and Terry Zwigoff's Crumb documentary that was currently being filmed. The front of the card (not shown by PBA to protect Crumb's privacy) serves as a change-of-address notice with his French address given. "Tom: Yours wins best nihilist card of the year... Don't ask me why we're moving to France.... Talk to that wandering [star of David] wife of mine.... I'm spending a lot of time now learning to speak [expletive symbols] French! But I can't pack anything up until Zwigoff finishes filming me for his documentary.... I ask you, what did I do to deserve these things!?! -R. Crumb."
