Photogravure portrait frontispiece of King Edward VII, on india paper mounted, 19 photogravure plates, all on india paper mounted (1 hand-coloured), all present in duplicate as unbound plates in the portfolio, 1 tipped-in 4-colour printed 4pp. facsimile of Royal Stud Card for 1901. Text: original half vellum over red cloth-covered boards, spine in lettered in blue with gilt crown, royal monogram on upper cover, top edge gilt; portfolio: original cream half cloth over red cloth-covered boards, purple cloth tie (tie defective). VERY RARE: LIMITED EDITION, THIS NUMBER 5 OF 50 COPIES ON JAPANESE VELLUM SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, here with a duplicate unbound set of all 19 of the plates. This work was issued as part of the celebrations during Edward VII's coronation year. Cf. Mellon Podeschi 283 (ordinary edition, not mentioning the present limited edition). COATEN, Arthur W.
