Contemporary half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt spine with lettering piece, marbled edges (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance : George Betts of Wortham, Suffolk (armorial bookplate).

Four of the plates are by William Daniell made during his two visits to Java. The panorama of Singapore and its harbour is as viewed from Government Hill. Bastin & Brommer p.6, note 97.
