RARE BOL COUVERT EN JADE BLANC SCULPTE, LIAN CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE QIANLONG (1736-1795) The covered bowl is finely carved in shallow relief with stylized lotus petals and lingzhi -shaped leaves below a band of ruyi heads at the everted rim. The domed cover is surmounted by six elephant heads suspending loose rings, inlaid with deep red glass beads, and fitted with an openwork vajra finial. The jade is of a semi-translucent stone of almost flawless, even, white tone; inlays missing. 7½ in. (19 cm.) high
