The delegates of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts held a convention on February 6, 1788 and stated "in the name and in behalf of the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ASSENT and RATIFY the said Constitution of the United States of America." The convention also recommended nine alterations to improve the Constitution. Condition: Partial separation along central horizontal fold. some light chipping along margins, few short tears.
