Lot of 13 items including eleven Revolutionary War-Period newspapers; one newspaper clipping inquiring about the value of one of the newspapers in this lot; and an 1875 souvenir copy of the Bunker Hill Gazette with a detailed lithograph of the Boston Massacre. Newspaper titles and years include: February 1773 Pennsylvania Gazette; December and March editions of the 1783 The Independent Ledger; 1790 edition of The Maryland Journal and Baltimore Advertiser; Pennsylvania Packet issue from April 1781; January 1791 Gazette of the United States; the March 1786 edition of The Independent Gazette; a copy of the Colombian Centinel from November 1796; a February 1797 edition of the Gazette of the United States and Philadelphia Advertisement; a copy of the London Chronicle from August 1795; and an January edition of The Ulster County Gazette from 1800 that discusses George Washington's funeral. Condition: Toning on most of the papers with some brittleness at the folds. Small tears on some editions, but not enough to effect the print.
