Parallel titles and text in French and English. 115 aquatint plates, by Richardson, 27 double page. (Some light spotting or soiling in vol.I, neatly repaired tear to upper outer blank margin of vol.II and lower blank margin of plate numbered 11/12.) Modern red half morocco gilt (spines slightly faded). FIRST EDITION. "The books of Richardson's own designs are less important than his engravings of the executed works of other late eighteenth-century architects": Harris p.388; Abbey Life 60; Berlin Kat OS2342P. (2)
