Skinner Eddie Rickenbacker was a race car driver in the early 1900's who joined the service in World War I to become a hero as an "ace" pilot, He later started his automobile company in Detroit, Michigan. The automobiles were well made and sales were enthusiastic until 1926. Rickenbacker closed its operation in 1927.
