Washington: Government Printing Office, 1877. 4to (290 x 230 mm). Folding plate frontispiece, 13 folding plates and 1 photograph. Full red morocco, stamped in gilt, marbled endpapers, marbled edges. Condition : uniformly toned at edges, some occasional stains, maps slightly creased; joint cracked but holding, front endpaper loose, extremities rubbed. Provenance : Dudley Bell Priester (bookplate). first edition . Nicholson 285. [With:] MEESE, William. Early Rock Island . Moline Illinois, 1905. Original green cloth, gitl stamped. [With:] SPENCER, J.W. and BURROWS, J. M. D. The early day of Rock Island and Davenport . Davenport: 1872. Original red cloth, stamped in gilt. Provenance : Mr. Thorne Donnelley (bookplate laid-in).
