Typed letter signed ("Franklin D Roosevelt") as Governor of New York, to Ray Barkman, Albany, 10 May 1932. 1 page, 4to, Executive Chamber stationery, marked "Personal" by FDR at top. FDR'S HOROSCOPE An unusual letter in which FDR obligingly discusses his horoscope with a fortune-teller. "In accordance with your letter, I am glad to give you the information for which you ask, but I hope in return you will be so good as to send me a copy of the horoscope you wish to cast. I was born on January 30th, 1882, and upon consulting my mother, who remembers the event better than I do, I find it was about 8 o'clock in the evening. The other personal statistics which you wish are as follows: Height 6 feet 2 inches; weight 180 pounds (approximately). It is good of you to feel as you do about my future and to wish to do what you can to discover its details..."
