Full red morocco, Louis XIV's arms on both covers with triple fillets, marbled endpapers, edges gilt, Mme de Maintenon's bookplate in the form of a cross infilled with fleurs-de-lys and surmounted by a crown; joints a trifle dry and starting, leather dressing causing boards to darken and gilt on spine to dull, small repair to head of spine. — Olenix du Mont-Sacré. Le Premier livre des bergeries de Juliette. Paris: Gilles Beys, 1582. 8vo Full black morocco, with Mme de Maintenon's arms on both covers, cornerpieces echoing the shape of her cartouche, the spine in 6 compartments richly gilt (3 with russet morocco labels), marbled endpapers, edges gilt. Bookplate of Léeon Dechesne de la Sicotière. — Mercure Galant dedié a Monseigneur le Dauphin. Fevrier 1695. Paris: Michel Brunet, [1695]. Full red morocco with the arms of the Grand Dauphin, Louis de France, on both covers with triple fillets, fleurs-de-lys cornerpieces, the spine in 6 compartments (of which 2 lettered and numbered) and ornamented with rules and fleurs-de-lys, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, edges gilt. Sold as a group of bindings, not subject to return.
