Philosophical Transactions , London: 1723-1801, volumes 31-40, 41 part 2-44 part 1, 45-49, 50 part 2-87, 89-91 only in 62, small and large 4°, over 1000 folding engraved plates and maps, including 2 hand-coloured plates of the erruption of Vesuvius in volume 85 (a few leaves of text lacking, browning and dampstaining in some volumes, at time heavy, particularly in vols. 31-32, 63, 74, 83, 86, 89 and 91, some blocks broken, some leaves detached, some tears and repairs, institutional markings, including stamp to the verso of each plate), old boards (all but one volume rebacked in brown library buckram, the remaining volume in half calf worn with covers detached).
