A full-length silhouette of a Young Girl and Boy with their dog, in profile to the left, and their pony, in profile to the right; the Girl, wearing calf-length dress, embroidered spencer jacket tied at the waist and neckline with cord, her hair worn in loose ringlets to her shoulders, she holds a bonnet dressed with a plume in her left hand and gesticulates towards the pony with her right; the Boy, wearing tartan calf-length socks, kilt, sporran, buttoned jacket, white chemise and belted plaid worn over his left shoulder, his hair parted to the left and worn short, he holds a whip in his right hand and a Balmoral bonnet in his left. Bronzed cut-out on card, heightened with Chinese white, watercolour background, signed on the obverse and dated Frith/ 1845, ebonised and gilt-wood frame. Rectangular, 445mm (17 1/2in) wide
