RUDYARD KIPLING (1865-1936) & OTHERS An album containing a.l.s. and clipped signatures, a.l.s include those by Lord Palmerston, E. Pusey, Sir Frederick Ouseley, William Morris a printed appointment order signed by the Duke of Wellington and a 1p. a.l.s. by Rudyard Kipling dated Bateman's, Burwash, Sussex, August 22, 1924, to Captain Mahon, discussing the work of the R.N.V.R and his involvement in it 'The R.N.V.R. put in wonderful work during the war: but I don't suppose justice will ever be done to it all...I should like to send you my warmest wishes for the success and permanence of the new division...if I know anything of the North its a breed that works "with equal facility" as they say of some sea engines, on or under water', signatures include those of J.E. Millais, George IV, W.E. Gladstone, R. D'Oyly Carte and Charles Kean.
