BINDING: contemporary German vellum over thin pasteboard, the cords cut around and covered with pigskin, four pairs of cloth ties (all but one gone), blank quire of 8 leaves at front and back with one leaf as pastedown (light spotting, some wear at spine). VECELLIO FORE-EDGE PAINTING: the author in Minorite habit in profile facing right, his pupil in a red robe and cap facing forward, the two seated in front of an arcaded wall, the author's name lettered vertically and horizontally.
