A GIFT FROM NEIL ARMSTRONG. Flown Gemini 8 medallion made of gold-plated sterling silver, 1 inch in diameter. The crew mission emblem is on the obverse with the mission date of "16 March 1966" engraved on the reverse. Accompanied by WALLY SCHIRRA'S signed provenance letter which reads: "This Gemini VIII gold plated sterling silver medallion was flown on the flight of Gemini VIII on March 16, 1966. Gemini VIII made the first docking of two spacecraft. It was given to me after the flight by fellow astronauts Neil Armstrong and David Scott Neil later became the first man to walk on the moon in July 1969 during the flight of Apollo 11."
