Graves and W. V. Cronin, A History of the Works of Sir Joshua Reynolds (1899-1901, 4 vols.), vol. 3, p. 1210 Sir Walter Armstrong Sir Joshua Reynolds (New York, 1900), p. 240 C Property of a Greenwich, Connecticut Estate
Glue relined. Extensive bitumen damage in the darker areas. Inpainting of cracks in these areas especially in the upper register. Some touches of inpainting in the lower left corner.
