Der Name geht zurück auf Jacob (Jockele) Herbstreith aus Hinterzarten, der um 1790 diese kleinen Schwarzwälder Wanduhren fertigte.

Southern Germany circa 1870. Porcelain, painted in polychrome colours and gold, wood, iron as well as brass. Rectangular case. Porcelain drop-shaped shield with flower decoration in arch. Enamel dial with Roman minute scale, blackened Breguet hands. 24-hour movement. Good age-related fully functional condition.

The name «Jockele» derives from Jacob (Jockele) Herbstreith from Hinterzarten, who produced these small Black Forest wall clocks around 1790.
