Contemporary hardgrain half morocco, gilt spine, top edges gilt, others uncut (extremities a little rubbed). FIRST EDITION of Sclater's scholarly monograph on Jacamars or Puff-Birds, an insect-eating species native to the tropical portions of South America east of the Andes and extending as far west as Trinidad and Tobago.
