Sequentie et hymni per totum annum . Deventer: Jacobus de Breda, 1506. 4° (192 x 129mm). Collation: A-D 8 . 4 E-F 8. 40 leaves. 24 lines. Title woodcut with Evangelists' symbols, 4 woodcuts on final verso, amateur rubrication on first text leaf. (Last leaf with small marginal tears and mounted on blank recto, F1.8 rehinged, first and last leaves lightly soiled.) 19th-century calf-backed boards, flat spine gilt (very slightly rubbed). Provenance : Sebastian Maillet, Carmelite (partly deleted inscription at end; notes on the Feast of St. Bartholomew) -- George Dunn of Woolley Hall (bookplate) -- [Orioli (pencilled notes on flyleaf)] -- Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). APPARENTLY UNRECORDED early Dutch imprint. Closely related to Breda's 1507 edition [NK 3229] with the same collation, the present edition is not recorded in Nijhoff-Kronenberg or STC Netherlands. The striking title woodcut was used by Breda frequently.
