Wonderful set, including 17 works by Samuel Clemens, 3 volumes with his contributions and 7 volumes concerning him, all beautifully bound. The majority of the Twain works are first editions or first American editions, including important first editions of Tom Sawyer, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, The Prince and the Pauper, Innocents Abroad, Life on the Mississippi, Following the Equator, and others. Note that all but two of the volumes have the original cloth spines and upper covers preserved at the back of each book. Bookplates of F.H. Goodyear. Lot Amendments Condition: Few tiny rubmarks to bindings and some corners just showing; scattered few stains or little tears internally; condition notes to individual volumes listed above; overall, about fine.
