Title: Set of 3 Baltimore Country Club Year Books/By-Laws: 1905-06, 1911-12 & 1920 Author: ** Place: Publisher: Baltimore Country Club Date: 1905-20 Description: With: 1905-06 edition, 88 pp., black cloth stamped in yellow; 1911-12 edition, 37 pp, tan wrappers; and 1920 edition, 44 pp., light blue wrappers. Together, 3 volumes. Lists officers, constitution, by-laws, club rules and regulations. 16mo. Original bindings, two in wrappers with reinforced hinges & one in cloth. Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898. A year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth U.S. Open Championship, which was won by Willie Smith. The East Course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast, opening in 1926 and is recognized as a masterpiece of golf course architecture. Lot Amendments Condition: Mild wear overall (more so to earlier two volumes with spine ends a bit chipped); 1911-12 edition with stains to covers; other light wear; else good to very good.
