Engraved frontispiece by Droesshout above Jonson's verses, printer's woodcut device (McKerrow 263) on title, woodcut initials, several signatures in the Histories corrected or supplied in manuscript as usual; frontispiece skillfully remargined without loss, the edges of the portrait perhaps imperceptibly retouched and a small rust-hole filled upper right, title and several other leaves skillfully remargined with occasional bits of the border-rules supplied in skillful facsimile, scattered natural paper faults here and there costing a few letters as usual. Red morocco gilt by Riviere, gilt dentelles, edges gilt extremities somewhat rubbed, inner hinges strarting.
