(12 x 7 7/8in.), red morocco, spine gilt-lettered, turn-ins gilt-ruled, g.e., by Tout & Sons, folding cloth chemise and slipcase, joints, tail of spine and lower board edges rubbed, lacking 29 leaves, supplied in facsimile (all preliminary leaves except 1A4 and 1A6, and fols. 2A2-4, N4, P5, S3, X1, d6, h1, h2, h4, h6, k5, s4, cc6, dd6, nn6, oo1, and bbb3-6), 1A4 laid down on heavy paper, large repair to 1A6 incurring loss to head-piece ornament and first line of heading, 7 or 8 leaves with repairs or tears costing up to 10 words, marginal repairs or small tears to approximately 28 leaves with no loss or touching the border-rule only, border-rules or headlines of approximately 40 leaves shaved, headlines or text of 5 leaves cropped, scattered light foxing and staining, occasionally obscuring one or two letters. FIRST FOLIO EDITION, containing 36 plays, including the first editions of eighteen plays, and textually more correct editions of four plays previously published in quarto format.
