SHAMS AL-DIN MUHAMMAD SHIRAZI HAFIZ (D. 1390 AD): DIWAN MUGHAL INDIA OR POSSIBLY IRAN, 18TH CENTURY Poetry, Persian manuscript on paper, 260ff. plus seven fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black nasta'liq script arranged in two columns with double gold intercolumnar divisions, some lines arranged in cartouches, text panel bordered by gold floral illumination, text within blue and black-ruled gold frames, three bifolios with gold and polychrome floral illumination and illuminated headpiece, introduction with one or two columns of text, catchwords, first folio with added owner note giving a date of reign, in probably original gilt and tooled red morocco binding, in very good condition overall Folio 37.5 x 22.5cm.
