Metcalf for Gee and Bridges, 8°, 1829, 8°, FIRST EDITION PUBLISHED IN ENGLAND, [4 (of 8)] + 28pp. (lacking 2 introductory leaves), bound in one volume with other minor contemporary tracts in verse and prose, marbled boards (spine lacking). [Wise p. 61] -- John FERRIAR. Illustrations of Sterne with other essays and verses , London: for Cadell and Davies by J. and J. Haddock, 1812, 2 volumes in one, 8°, second edition, with a detailed receipt made out by George Nicholson to Cadell and Davies, dated Manchester Oct 17 1798, in the sum of £30 - 18 - 0, as the cost of printing 756 copies of the first edition of the work, and 2 letters from the author, all tippped-in at front, later 19th-century half morocco with Houghton crest. With George Berkeley's Works (3 vols., London, 1820), the Letters of Mary Lepel, Lady Hervey (London, John Murray 1821) including an original pencil sketch of Lady Hervey; James Gillman's The Life of Samuel Taylor Coleridge (vol. I [all published], London, 1838) in brown half morocco with Houghton crest; a volume of reminiscences and elegies on the late Lord Byron, with ownership inscriptions of the Byron forger, Major G. G. de Luna Byron, in half morocco binding with Houghton crest; a work in 2 volumes said to be from Lord Byron's library but a Byron forgery; Henry Siddons' Practical Illustrations of Rhetorical Gesture and Action adapted to the English drama (London, 1822) with 69 engraved plates and bound in original cloth-backed boards with paper spine label; and 6 other volumes of the same period.
