Unrecorded in worldwide public libraries and at auction. This novel first appeared in French in Paris. The author is believed to be a member of the Caffaro family, who migrated to France after the Messina revolt (1672–78). In 1687 Ponzio had published 2 other tales entitled ‘Il conte Roggiero sovrano della Calabria ulteriore novella historica’ and 'D. Giovanni d'Austria: Historia galante e vera'.
