Sir Noël Coward (1899 – 1973) - Sylvia Coleridge's Autographed Presentation Copy, Coward (Noel), Quadrille: A Romantic Comedy in Three Acts, autograph presentation copy inscribed signed by the author, and further uniquely autographed by the play's cast, first edition, London: William Heinemann, 1952, tipped-in contemporary newspaper clippings, the author's contemporary presentation signature binding of red cloth gilt by Bumpus Ltd, stamped, all-edges gilt, 8vo, [1] A number of author's presentation signature copies are extant, in conforming red cloth gilt or red morocco gilt. All are first editions, but differ from trade bindings and were of course issued without dustjackets. Provenance: Sylvia Coleridge (1909-1986), who played Octavia, Countess of Bonnington, at Quadrille's first performance at the Opera House, Manchester, 15th July 1952. Presented to her by Noel Coward, the author.
