Lot of 2. Cabinet card of Hunkpapa Sioux Chief Sitting Bull on mount copyrighted on recto and verso to D.F. Barry, Bismarck, Dakota, 1885. A classic view of Sitting Bull who performed with Buffalo Bill's Wild West for four months during the 1885 season. After leaving the show, Sitting Bull returned to Standing Rock Reservation where he was shot and killed by Sioux Tribal police in December 1890; and 2.5 x 5.25 in. clipping from a Montreal newspaper, dated August 20, 1885, advertising the participation of Sitting Bull in Buffalo Bill's Wild West. Condition: Even toning to image and mount, with some corner/edge wear to mount. Very good condition overall.
