SIX SEVRES PORCELAIN 'PREMIER EMPIRE' ARMORIAL DISHES, gilt and painted in colours with a central crested escutcheon decorated with three boars' heads facing to the left, around a Tudor rose (possibly for an English coat-of-arms), above the motto within a pennant in Latin, inscribed fide et fortitudine , (faith and perseverance), surrounded with a guilloche band, the mustard-brown border with a continuous band of leaves, all marked with a reddish brown eagle, inscribed Manufacture Imperiale above Sèvres and incised marks (some gilt rubbed) 1804-1814 23.5 cm diam. (6)
