SON SIGNS NAME OF THE DYING J.S. BACH BACH, JOHANN CHRISTIAN. One line autograph inscription Signed, "Johann Seb: Bach," acknowledging receipt of payment on behalf of his father, Johann Sebastian Bach, on a fragment of a receipt book with two other similar inscriptions by others. The complete inscription, "C[antor] Johann Seb[astian] Bach acc[epi] 2 fl[orin]." 2 3/4x4 inches; moderate toning overall, folds, minor bleedthrough from two similar inscriptions at upper edge verso. [Leipzig, circa 2 July 1750]
