SOUTH AFRICA, 1909 AND AUSTRALIA, 1926, 1930 AND 1934 -- A small album, 4° (4½ x 3¾in; 11.9 x 9.2cm), containing autographs of the "South African Cricket Team 1909," 18 signatures on one sheet, folded and tipped-in; also with the autographs of the 1926 Australian touring team, 17 signatures on paper headed "S.S. Otranto," folded and tipped-in; the following autographs of the 1930 Australia touring team: W.M. Woodfull, V.Y. Richardson, A. Fairfax, Don Bradman, P.M. Hornibrook, W.H. Ponsford, T.W. Wall, and A. Jackson on one folded, tipped-in sheet; and the Australian touring side of 1934, including W.M. Woodfull, W.A. Oldfield (slightly smudged), A.G. Chipperfield, B.A. Barnett, T.W. Wall, Stan McCabe, Bill Brown L.S. Darling, Don Bradman, W.J. O'Reilly and W.H. Ponsford, on one tipped-in sheet; and another 40 cricketing autographs on 16 leaves, three of the autographs accompanied by cigarette cards, and with a loosely-inserted signed post-card of J.B. Hobbs. Bound in original black morocco, upper cover gilt-stamped "Album." The three cigarette cards, with signatures above or below, feature J.W. Hearne, Patsy Hendren and Hobbs. Other autographs include A. Sandham and H. Strudwick on one leaf; A.C. Maclaren, Basil Foster, Fred Root and Roy Kilner on one leaf; L.C. Braund, H. Larwood and two others; H. Sutcliffe, E. Robinson, Frank Woolley and W. Rhodes on a leaf with Denis Compton on verso; K.S. Duleepsinji and two others; Maurice Tate dated 1924-5; Arthur E.R. Gilligan (mounted). One leaf has 7 autographs of footballers and another the autograph of Harry Vardon, the golfer.
