Beschreibung:

STARS AND STRIPES ON THE MOON – Photograph signed. 1969. The second most recognized image from the lunar surface. SIGNED by Buzz ALDRIN. This is the second most recognized image of Buzz Aldrin on the lunar surface as he stands by the U.S. flag. In a haste to release the lunar surface images taken by the Apollo 11 crew, NASA mistakenly identified the astronaut next to the flag as Neil Armstrong, as written on the verso of this photograph. There was only one 70mm Hasselblad camera taken out on the lunar surface during the first moonwalk. Armstrong and Aldrin shared its use, but Armstrong photographed the vast majority of the surface images. Vintage color photograph, 8 by 10 inches, a full-frame Hasselblad photograph, image 7.25 inches square. NASA ID number A11-40-5875 in red at upper left corner. "A Kodak Paper" stamp on verso.
