FIRST EDITION, an important and scarce Cheyenne imprint. Sturgis gives an account of the Sioux war, the Utes, their murders and hostilities on the war-path and the outrages perpetuated against the Meeker family. Sturgis took a decidely anti-Indian stance in his work.
