SUPERBOWL VII DOLPHINS USED FOOTBALL, TICKET AND TEAM SIGNED HELMET

Estimate
US$5,000 - US$7,000
Price realised:
US$10,625
Beschreibung:

Superbowl VII Dolphins Used Football, Ticket and Team Signed Helmet On January 14, 1973, led by their "No Name Defense," the Miami Dolphins ground out a 14-7 win over the Washington Redskins, winning Superbowl VII and laying claim to the NFL's only perfect season. For those seeking perfection, this unused ticket from the game, football and Miami team autographed helmet are a good start. The ball is embossed in gold "Super Bowl VII, Miami 14, Washington 7." The "Riddell Throwbacks" Dolphin logo helmet is signed by 45 players in black sharpie, including these NFL Hall of Famers: Griese, Csonka, Warfield, Buoniconti, Langer, Little and Shula, the first coach to bring his team to three consecutive Super Bowls, winning VII and VIII. Before the 1972 Dolphins, only the Chicago Bears, in 1934 and 1942, had finished an NFL regular season with no losses or ties. The 1934 team lost the NFL Championship Game that year to the New York Football Giants, and the 1942 team lost the Championship to the Redskins. Many would argue that the 1972 Dolphins are the best pro football team ever. As Csonka once said, "Perfection ends a lot of arguments." The signatures on the helmet rate 9-10/10, the football has little wear and the ticket is in near mint condition. LOA from PSA/DNA.
