FIRST EDITION, THE RARE FIRST ISSUE, with the original uncancelled state of each signature and the 24 errors uncorrected (except for leaf [N3] as usual, and with the earliest issue of the 8-pp. of Moxon advertisements inserted at front; with the Moxon imprint on spine; in this copy the title-page has been cut across the imprint, marking it for cancellation. Wise Swinburne 25; Tinker 2011; Hayward 280. A fine copy of Swinburne's most important book, containing many of his best-known poems. Bookplates of F. Wyndham Goldie and John Lowe.
