AN 18K PINK GOLD, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND OPENFACE KEY WOUND VERGE WATCH WITH LATER ENAMEL, DIAMOND AND PEARL-SET CHATELAINE UNSIGNED, WATCH CIRCA 1780, CHATELAINE AND ENAMEL CIRCA 1850 Full plate gilt-finished verge movement, pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, rounded pillars, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, circular case, later polychrome enamel portraits of Marie Antionette and Loius XVI to the case back, black enamel surround, enhanced by two diamonds, the bezel and rims with scroll design, with later chatelaine centered by an polychrome enamel plaque with portraits of Marie Antionette and Louis XVI, surrounded by filigree work enhanced by diamonds and pearls, three chains the first capped by a watch key with polychrome portraits of Marie Antionette and Louis XVI's children Marie Therese Duchesse D'Angouleme, the second a watch fob with polychrome portraits of Louis XV's daughters Madame Adelaide de France and Madame Victoire de France, the third centered with a red enamel and diamond-set fleur de lys with secure hook to attach watch, all three enhanced with filigree work with diamonds and pearls 38mm diam.
