Teaching collection of fragments of medieval manuscripts, mostly in Latin with one strip in German, on parchment [twelfth to sixteenth century]30 fragments and cuttings, predominantly from liturgical and legal manuscripts, demonstrating a variety of scripts, with one small scrap of the twelfth century, 20 of the thirteenth century (including a fine example of extremely tiny university script and the border of a large leaf with the edge of a legal commentary with striking red and blue initials), 5 of the fourteenth century, 3 of the fifteenth century, and 2 of the sixteenth century, the largest 335 by 62, the smallest 45 by 30mm.; one stitched to a mounting card, all others loose and with damage concomitant with reuse on later bindings
