Ten Egyptian scarabs Middle Kingdom - Late Period, circa 2050-300 B.C. Of various materials, including an uninscribed black stone example; a mottled brown steatite scarab with a figure of a seated lion facing right; a glazed composition example of a scarab with wings spread; a black steatite example with the cartouche of Tuthmosis III; two glazed composition examples with a cryptic message; an Egyptian blue scarab, naming Amen-Re; a lapis lazuli Phoenician scarab with a seven branched palm tree; an uninscribed lapis lazuli scarab with marked wing-case, the elytrae striated and the legs roughly marked; a blue glazed composition scaraboid with an unintelligible design on the underside, 8mm-18mm; two other scarabs, including a carnelian example with a seated figure facing right, 12mm and a green glazed scarab, possibly Phoenician, 17mm; and four other scarabs, Not Ancient (16)
