The Affecting History of the Duchess of C**; who was Confined Nine Years in a Horrid Dungeon, under ground, where light never entered, a Straw Bed being her only resting Place, and Bread and Water her only support, conveyed by means of a turning-box by her Inhuman Husband, London: Dean and Munday, [n.d.]. Tall 8° (180 x 110mm), engraved frontispiece. Old stitched wrappers (torn). With a small quantity of other books and pamphlets including A Statement of facts, relative to the supposed abstinence of Ann Moore (Burton-on-Trent, 1813, original wrappers), The Warning Voice. Being a Brief Account of W. Toft, J. Walklate, and Daniel Collyer, who were executed at Stafford (Hanley, c.1820) and 3 Beeton's Christmas Annual's for the 8th, 14th and 16th seasons. The lot sold not subject to return. (a lot)
