Printed damp on French handmade Apta Velin from the Richard De Bas Mill. The publisher's catalog states: "Oak boxes housing a relief sculpture of a skull face by Jim Dine cast in bonded plaster and individually painted by the artist, were fabricated with a latched, recessed tray for the book." This special edition of 8 copies was originally offered at $10,0000, only one copy has appeared at auction since its issue, in 2009 where it fetched over $14,000. A stunning production.
