The Beatles A rare early musicians' salary receipt for The Beatles for seven days' work at the Top Ten Club , Hamburg, April 1st-7th, 1961 , the agreement handwritten in German, in an unidentified hand, in blue ink, on a loose page of cash book paper titled Müsiken - Gehalter - 1. - 7.IV.61 [Musicians' Salaries...], individually listing the five Beatles in the following order: George Harrison Paul McCartney, John Lennon Stuart Sutcliffe and Peter Best, and giving details of their matching salaries: ..7 Jage á 35 = DM 245 [7 days at 35 deutsch marks] less tax giving a total per week for each of DM 215, each line of the receipt signed individually by the recipient in black ballpoint pen: George Harrison Paul McCartney, J.W.Lennon, Stu Sutcliffe and Peter Best
